Transactiva and the University of Trieste were among the winners of the “Made in Trieste” call, aimed at promoting applied research projects in the field of Life Sciences, with the project “Production of human Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in endosperm of Oryza sativa”.

The projects, which will be developed by public-private partnerships, have been evaluated by an examination board of national specialists (Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences, Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori, Politecnico di Torino) having the appropriate scientific background to evaluate the proposals based on their degree of innovaction, relevance and usefulness of the results.

Made in Trieste will support the realization of the R&D projects through the provision of annual research grants for young researchers, who will carry out the research activities in collaboration with an industry partner, supported by a structured research team.

The winners list can be found at this link.

The competition for 12 annual research grants will be announced soon.
